Life is what we choose to make of it. Over the past year I have met several new individuals that,by default, have taught me not to stress over the things I cannot control. There is always going to be someone that is going to hurt your feelings or piss you off, and the idea is that you have to learn to count your loses. What is the point in being mad and ruining your day because someone can't (in my words) get their life together? The same thing may go for those who are in a relationship? If you've given all you can give and it just didn't work out, don't stress over it just deal with it and move on. Feelings and emotions are designed to be restored; it's a cycle. The same way you love and hurt today, you'll love and hurt again (just in a different way). We can NEVER control the actions of others, we can only control the way we respond to their actions, and essentially that says a lot about us as people. So never worry or stress about how to keep from "getting hurt" or "looking stupid" because at the end of the day no matter how hard we try to avoid it, it's coming. The best thing we can do for ourselves is learn how to communicate and address the hurt that we feel, whether it is to the person directly or just crying in the corner somewhere, it just has to be addressed. I am truly thankful for every individual that has crossed paths with me, because whether they realize it or not, they've made and will continue to make me stronger. So just live life the best you can, and make of it what you can because you only get one and it makes not sense not to be happy, even if that just means you were happy in that moment.
